So looks like there has been a change of plans.

Yep, looks like a change of scenery for me. I resigned my position at Rumsey Engineers today. I was only there a month or so but that is long enough to know that it's not a good fit for me. My boss was beyond quirky (he stole food off my plate when we went to lunch on my second interview!), the office was dead quiet most of the time with engineers staring at their computers all day, and I could have done my job 4 times over in one day. It was located in Oakland and I got burn out quickly commuting across the bay only to work at a job that wasn't challenging or very dynamic. Soooo... I didn't want to waste their time and my time if it wasn't going to be a good fit.

I feel like I have really been in some different situations so far in my career and it's interesting how much of an impact your career decisions have on the rest of your life. Of course it has an impact because you spend so much time there but the choices you make and the challenges that you take also set the stage for how you chose to live your life in the long run also. The hard road is kind of a pain but it also offers the greatest rewards.

Scott is in New Jersey this week for training, he'll be back Friday and then we're going to a Blues Festival in the park near our house - which should be pretty cool. I start guitar lessons on Monday so hopefully I'll be able to serenade people when they come visit : )
